Project of the Month - August 2003 This month's project is a fireplace-surround entertainment center. Built in the Arts & Crafts styles, this entertainment center accommodates a medium-sized flat screen TV, satellite receiver, DVD player, VCR, and a stacked stereo component system. Pull-out shelves allow for plenty of DVD, CD and videotape storage next to the component stack, and there is a large amount of display and closed-storage area. It is finished in Early American stain and three coats of clear finish.

Right Section
Last month's project is a 100% solid cherry wood entertainment center. It is made in three sections with overall dimensions being 6-1/2 feet high, 8-1/2 feet wide and 2 feet deep. It features pocket doors in the TV section, CD/DVD storage, speaker doors for surround-sound speakers above TV, plenty of open display area and closed storage. The finish is natural cherry stain with three coats of hand-rubbed clear finish.
